COLABORATORIO [ART, SPACE & MOVEMENT]

Born as a center without walls. A point of encounter open to academics, researchers, students and all the public interested in the conformation of a learning space on the network.  Flexible and participatory around the topics of art, space and movement. Arises from the words “collaborate” and “laboratory” posing as a tool in order to take advantage of the interactive technology to generate and share knowledge without geographic restrictions;  As the possibility of giving and receiving data, information and knowledge is permanent at any time from any place there is a network connection.

Colaboratorio [art. space & movement] seeks the construction of collective knowledge maps in continuous development.  Internet is not only – or primarily – a technology, it is a cultural production in itself. Its impact on political debate and its relation to cultural rights, economy and the social movements is reflected in the changes it has  exerted in the value chain.  The Web 2.0 has transformed the models of intermediation, complicating the legal environment and redefining the concept of property.

In this manner, within the artistic sector it made the process of generation contents to be nourished with a new dimension.  Digital power has taken steps to new artistic formats, transforming not only the work itself but the artist’s physical environment.  (workshop, gallery , etc.)

Our project is based on new features that the Web 2.0 offers; Interaction, participation, accessibility, integration and feedback; Seeing it as an opportunity, that seeks to promote the productive use of the environment, enhance visibility and development of our cultural resources, enabling the user’s critical thinking not as a limitation to be a passive recipient of information.

We hope you like our proposal.
